Description
- In preparation for the company’s first launch, have a hard look at everything that has been developed, make appropriate changes and implement the US (and global as needed) medical affairs plan
- Work closely with commercial and clinical development in designing and implementing launch strategies and tactics, and life cycle planning
- Design the organizational structure for the entire Medical Affairs team to support the anticipated oncology product launches
- The company will be looking for this individual to create (from scratch) and run a department
- Get Pharmacovigilence, Medical Information Services (MIS), Medical review, Medical Affairs / Medical Information technologies, and Scientific Relationships up and running
- Establish an investigator initiated program
- Own the publication planning process
- Design and implement a KOL engagement plan
- Foster relationships with key research centers in the US
- Interact regularly with key medical opinion leaders
- Opportunities to look globally and identify advocacy groups
- Design and implement a Congress Plan
- Develop and initiate a US advisory board program
- Secure all products on appropriate guidelines
- Develop and implement strategic imperatives and tactical plans to enhance healthcare practitioner education to improve patient outcomes.
- Board certified/board eligible MD required
- At least 7 years in a clinical or pharmaceutical setting with background in Medical Affairs and/or Clinical Research
- Oncology experience is required
- Launch experience is required
