Title Sr Director Marketing Sciences, Oncology & CNS

Description
  • Lead and own the market sciences function
    • Lead all Market Research and Analytics: Own all primary and secondary market research initiatives across the commercial organization
      • Ownership of data sources plus the identification, purchasing and management of data sources
    • Lead all Forecasting: Create, validate, and refine long-range product forecasts. Partner with Marketing and Finance to develop and update product P&Ls
    • Lead all Competitive Intelligence: Support commercial and pipeline products (both business and clinical perspectives)
    • Lead all Commercial assessments/diligence for business development
  • Develop and own a plan from scratch (objectives, key deliverables, timing, budgets, etc.)
  • Refine or completely redesign the KPI dashboards developed.
  • Internal working relationships:
    • Work with commercial leadership (Marketing, Market Access, Sales) to understand the big unknowns
      • Design a multi-layer strategic and tactical plans that will address these unknowns
    • Partner with Med Affairs on competitive intelligence initiatives including congresses, publications, clinical trials, etc.
    • Partner with Sales Operations and IT/data management to develop data acquisition, management, and reporting plans and infrastructure
    • Participate in the manufacturing planning process to ensure optimal supply and inventory management.
    • Lead and conduct commercial assessments/diligence for business development activities. 
  • Vendor Relationship Management
    • The models currently reside with the vendors – this individual can decide what they would like to bring in-house
  • Budget Accountability
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree (advanced degree preferred)
  • At least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/health care industry
  • At least 7 years of Marketing Sciences experience gained in the pharmaceutical/health care industry
  • Oncology experience is required
  • CNS experience is desired
  • Solid functional expertise and demonstrated ability to operate in all areas of responsibility (i.e. Market Research, Marketing Analytics, Competitive Intelligence, NPA / BDA, Forecasting)
  • Proven ability to build and plan a market science function
  • Demonstrated understanding of oncology data sources in the industry (sales data; patient level data; syndicated data)
  • Understands the specialty pharm space
  • Must be a decision maker with executive presence; proven ability to drive performance, defined good work, work collaboratively and act decisively
